Such a sad loss. Stuart was a colleague and friend for over 30 years and when I think of him, I remember the endless banter and laughter, his quick wit and put-down one liners, his boundless love for Elaine and Chloe and his natural ability to bring out the best in everyone in his teams. Rest in peace Stuart.

Just came across this after doing a search for my old school mate. I left Luton in 1976 and we sadly never kept in touch. We were 11 at the time but reading through people's thoughts and seeing Stuart's photos I'm in no doubt. He was the funniest kid in the school. Always made me laugh without being unkind in any way. True comic even at that age. We were milk monitors for a while together and those times were still my happiest days at school. Outstanding memory was me taking a corner during lunchtime footy and you rising up like Jack Charlton and thumping it in with your head! It was perfect. The funny thing was neither of us were that good!
Wish I'd kept in touch mate.
